Capabilities
Open Gateway exposes mobile operator network capabilities through standardized CAMARA APIs. Capabilities are grouped into three families based on the type of problem they solve.
Identity and Fraud Prevention
These capabilities help businesses verify user identities and detect fraud signals using data from the mobile network. They are particularly valuable for financial services, e-commerce, and any application where identity assurance and fraud prevention are critical.

| Number Verification | Confirms that the phone number used in a session belongs to the SIM currently in the device |
| SIM Swap | Detects whether a SIM card was recently swapped, which is a common signal of account takeover attempts |
| Device Swap | Detects whether the physical device associated with a number has recently changed |
| KYC Age Verification | Confirms that a user meets a minimum age requirement based on operator subscriber records |
| KYC Match | Validates that identity attributes provided by the user (name, address, date of birth) match what the operator has on record |
| KYC Tenure | Reports how long a user has been a subscriber of the operator, which can indicate account stability and trustworthiness |
Communication Quality
These capabilities allow applications to request and manage specific levels of network performance for a connection or session. They are aimed at applications where consistent, high-quality connectivity is critical — such as video conferencing, online gaming, telemedicine, and industrial IoT.

Consent Management
